Koliko sam uspjela shvatiti postoje tri vrste hidroelektrana: akumulacijske, protocne i reverzibilne. Akumulacijske se dalje dijele na pribranske i derivacijske. Pribranske su one kod kojih se masinerija nalazi u samoj brani.

Nasla sam dosta clanaka u Wikipediji o branama i hidroelektranama, ali nigdje ne mogu da nadjem prikladan termin za pribranska postrojenja. Ima li neko od kolega ideju?

There are two major types of hydro power plants.
1. Dam Toe Power House - Here water intake structure and turbine are very near to each other and head is governed by height of water storage behind the dam. Refer figure 1. Here water conducting system is very small.
2. Run of River Scheme - Here intake structure and Turbine are very far from each other and head is governed by the vertical distance between intake and power house sites not by the storage. Here water conducting system is very long.

To ujedno odgovara ovoj podeli/definiciji, u pitanju su nasute brane kod kojih mašinska hala ne može da bude u telu brane pa "branske hidroelektrane" ne bi imalo smisla:

Smanjenje rada vode na nekoj dionici u prirodi ostvaruje se:
A) Usporavanjem (građevine u vodotoku) - Usporavanje se ostvaruje izgradnjom brane, te se na taj način smanjuju brzine vode, vučna sila i u konačnici se smanjuje rad vode na kretanju od profila 1 do profila 2 (duž dionice).
B) Derivacijom - odvajanjem dijela vode iz vodotoka i njenim provođenjem izgrađenimprovodnicima. Zahvat se vode ostvaruje na početku dionice (oko profila 1) a povrat vode u vodotok se realizira na nizvodnom kraju dion
ice (profil 2). Provodnici su u pravilu kraći od vodotoka i manjih su otpora kretanju vode, te se na taj način smanjuje rad vode.
C) Kombinacijom usporavanja i derivacije.
Hidroelektrana, kod koje se koristi samo usporavanje nazivaju se PRIBRANSKE HIDROELEKTRANE, a ostale koje se ostvaruju derivacijom ili kombinacijom usporavanja i derivacije nazivaju se DERIVACIJSKE HIDROELEKTRANE

- PRIBRANSKA HIDROELEKTRANA je vrsta akumulacijske hidroelektrane kod koje se zgrada za proizvodnju nalazi u samoj pregradnoj brani.
- DERIVACIJSKAHIDROELEKTRANA je vrsta akumulacijske hidroelektrane kod koje se strojarnica za proizvodnju energije nalazi izmještena na nekoj udaljenosti (nizvodno od brane), a voda se iz akumulacijskog jezera dovodi posebnim cijevima sa zahvata do strojarnice.

3.1.1.5 Location of the Powerhouse Inside the Gravity Structure
Construction of the powerhouse inside the dam was considered as a cost-saving measure during the design process in the 1970s. However, the cost of formwork and the additional coordination of activities required to construct the powerhouse inside the dam probably would offset any potential cost savings. Also, the openings required for the powerhouse, the access galleries, and the water conductors are located in the zone of highest stresses in the dam body and would concentrate stresses to potentially unsafe levels. This design decision would likely need to be reconsidered should the design move to the next phase. An independent underground powerhouse and water conductors would probably be the preferred solution.
