Spanish term or phrase: Muelle de caída
Spain and Latin America. This term appears in an alphabetical list of items in billing/logistical software. Not sure whether "muelle" here means dock or spring. As "patio de caida" (drop yard) appears elsewhere in the document, I thought it might mean "drop dock" in this context, but can't find any definitive, authoritative references. There is also the possibility that it is an erroneous back translation from English, which I have come across before with this type of document.

As I note, simply guessing.

Phil's contribution might be more on target, if someone has paid for the rights
to use a wharf, then he can include these in the list for tax purposes... (?)

Your "drop dock" idea may also be right. (I probably should have written a "discussion" entry, but anyhow, there you have it, in case my feedback is of any help...)

Saludos cordiales.

(In case it has anything to do with the "mill" or "grinding" in your list???)

Muelle de carga

Explanation:
Having worked as an export clerk for some well-known UK organisations, I find a drop dock somewhat hard - even for a fall guy - to visualise or envision.

So could be a typo - likewise, patio de carga as a loading bay or yard

Example sentence(s):
  • In Speed Door are manufacturers of high speed doors, loading, specially designed for industries vertical loading dock ramps.

Notes to answerer
Asker: That last link is the spring I mentioned earlier. I may need to ask the client, who will probably take ages to respond.

Asker: I told you it might take ages! Client finally got back to me today, saying: " Yo tampoco tengo claro que es eso de "Muelle de caída" pero me comentado el compañero que ha hecho el listado que la traducción a inglés sería "Drop dock". Traducelo como "Drop dock" :-)
