Hi there. This is a thesis title from someone who studies Automatic Control and I would like some help from the community on the correct translation of the title into UK English

Mine is: Modelling and control of a force-augmenting device.

Is this OK?

modelling and control of force-multiplying device/mechanism
Explanation:
I guess you only have the title? The abstract or introduction would give a more detailed explanation of the device and enable one to fine tune the translation of the title.

I'd go with "force-multiplying device" if the thing is independent, and "force-multiplying mechanism" if it only forms part of a bigger machine / device. Having said that "force-multiplying machine" is also a possibility.....as I say I think it depends on further context if available.
