green manure
Explanation:
Is the more used term.

Green manures are fast-growing plants sown to cover bare soil. Often used in the vegetable garden, their foliage smothers weeds and their roots prevent soil erosion. When dug into the ground while still green, they return valuable nutrients to the soil and improve soil structure.

agree  John Speese: Even though it actually isn't manure as Jane explains and the Spanish term is actually more acurate, green manure is the standard English language term.

Green fertiliser

Explanation:
My guess, although it's not clear whether it means applying the fertiliser during the growing (green) stage, or fertiliser based on ecological/environmentally friendly ingredients... The fact that it's "en verde" would suggest the former, but you never know.

For example, in winemaking, "poda en verde" means pruning carried out in spring, more or less towards the end of May when buds are appearing on the vine... so "abonado en verde" could mean a spring application of fertiliser. I think we'd need to see more context before deciding (or ask the author).

So, "estiércol animal, abonado en verde" could mean something like "animal manure, applied in springtime/growing season"...

Wikipedia dixit: "Manure is organic matter, mostly derived from animal feces except in the case of green manure, which can be used as organic fertilizer in agriculture. "
