Buenos días.

Intento traducir un kárdex mexicano al inglés, es de una licenciatura en informática. Aparece Programática como una materia, revisando pude encontrar como opción Software pero no sé si esté bien. ¿Alguien tendrá alguna alternativa?

agree  DLyons: Given that named languages appear, this seems more likely. "development"

Entonces, a lo mejor algo más general, como "Programming Concepts" o "Introduction to Programming" ... algo así?

COMPUTER PROGRAMMING

Explanation:
(I used to be a FORTRAN, COBOL and ALGOL computer programmer!)

There are degree courses called "Computer Programming", although I think it's also highly likely that this term will be a module within a Computer Science degree

In that case, it could be something general like Computer Science, although I would have thought this would be the title of a whole degree course rather than merely an Option. Lugoben's "Software Development" (spelling corrected of course!) might also fit the bill, but I would avoid "software" on its own as that would be terribly general, to the point of being rather meaningless. All computer programs come under the category of "software".

But perhaps you could ask the client what this "opción" actually involves, and we would all then have a better idea of what might work here

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you for answering! In the same transcript there are other subjects like Programming I Fortran, Programming II Cobol, so I don't know if Programatica is something really general

Spanish Programmatic in Latin American dialect is intended to lead you to a minimum professionally useful level of proficiency. The course offers five learning modes as follows: introduction, dialogue, grammatical practice, variations, and application. The first 20 units of volume 1 emphasize word and phrase structure. The remaining units expand the vocabulary and further develop verb morphology. At the completion of the course you will have completed work comparable to somewhat more than the first year of college-level Spanish.
