Spanish term or phrase: franja
Hello, everyone!

I'm translating the instructions for file exchanges. The document is series of segments, so there's hardly any context. The files have .csv extension. The instructions are for suppliers that provide an online retailer with goods and 'unidades disponibles' refer to items that have been ordered by online shoppers.

I had thought of 'text strings' but I can't find enough information to support my answer. I'm posting the question because the agency thinks it's a good idea. We've spent the practically whole morning trying to find the answer!

I (we) would appreciate your help! Thank you.

Explanation:
Segment 101 - Si no se dispone de las unidades disponibles, podrá informarse por franjas o binario (sí/no).
-->
Segment 101 - If the exact quantity of available units is not known, then indicate the range, or as a boolean value (yes/no).

IOW: ideally the number of units is given as a straightforward number, eg: "we have 1267 bananas in stock"

If the exact quantity is not known, then indicate a range of numbers, eg: "0-500", "501 to 1000", "1001 to 1500" (in which case, '1267' would be fall in the the range "1001 to 1500"

And if it's not possible even to give a "range", then just put "yes" (we have bananas) or "no" (yes, we have no bananas).
