Spanish term or phrase: El pisco ha logrado transmitirse ...
Hola / Hi!

I need to translate this sentence "el pisco ha logrado transmitirse por generaciones y rejuvenecer con cada ano de destilacion".

I am having difficulty with the first bit "el pisco ha logrado transmitirse por generaciones" because the sentence uses pisco, the liquor, as if it was a person, as it was capable of transmitting itself, whereas, I guess the meaning in English would be something like "pisco know-how has been passed down generation by generation", however I am afraid that it would be a too "free" translation.

The sentence is taken from a pubblication by BBVA Banco Continental del Peru to make omage to Pisco the peruvian national liquor as well as to the many ways in which it can be used, either to cook or to prepare delicious cocktails.

All advice welcome!

Thanks in advance,

Giovanni

The spirit of Pisco has lived through generations
Explanation:
This is a true challenge!
My suggestion: "The spirit of Pisco has lived through generations and grown younger with every year of distillation"
I'm playing with words here. Pisco may not be a person, but it classifies as a spirit?
It's been used with whisky as seen in the link.
Hope it helps!

Tradition is also very important in Peru. We have been making pisco for hundreds of years, which has many benefits. First, we have ***traditions passed on from generation to generation***. Second, we have been perfecting the art of pisco making and selecting the best vines for centuries. We know what regions are most apt for grape growing and what production methods are best. It’s like winemaking in France- their current methods are based on hundreds of years of tradition.”..
