For British English you might consider 'traditional students'.

Older students are called 'mature students' and there are many of them, sometimes accepted on basis of experience rather than educational qualifications.

Well, I also wonder how might you say this in English, but the basic idea is this; to attend regularly and participate actively in all courses following a given academic plan.
A more specific definition:
From Far Eastern University, Manila;
1. Regular Student
A regular student is one who strictly follows the subject sequence of the prescribed curriculum, and observes the subject sequence pre-requisites.
A regular student is expected to finish the course program within the prescribed number of semesters/years based on the effective curriculum upon admission.
The maximum unit load of a student for a given semester is indicated in the curriculum.
2. Irregular Student
An irregular student is one who is unable to follow the subject sequence of the subjects outlined in the program curriculum, due to reasons of failure, dropping, leave of absence, and/or shifting. The program may or may not be finished within the immediate prescribed number of semesters/years.

I don't agree that " in good standing" necessarily means financially.
Wikipedia:
"A person or organization in good standing is regarded as having complied with all their explicit obligations, while not being subject to any form of sanction, suspension or disciplinary censure."
As long as it's defined elsewhere in the text (I'm not sure if your definition comes from here or somewhere else), I think it's fine.
