Vertical Explanation: If it is the opposite of abscisado, my guess would be vertical, straight up and down, like the hands of a clock striking the hour. It is just a guess though. |

E.g. a defect on the right-hand side would be at 'three o'clock', a defect at the bottom 'at six o'clock'. That said, the position is more likely indicated in degrees, not 'hours'. |
