Spanish term or phrase: saltos entre tramos de carril
From the assembly instructions for a piece of heavy machinery (I imagine, there is no mention what the machine is (the company designs, manufactures, assembles and maintains water treatment machinery")

"Alineación: En toda la longitud el carril está perfectamente nivelado vertical y horizontalmente y son saltos entre tramos de carril."

Firstly, the verb "ser" seems odd ("haber" would seem a lot more natural to me) and secondly, it would seem that you don't normally want gaps - assuming thats what the 'saltos' are - between rail sections

Any ideas?

As one would logically expect there to be no gaps between rail sections, and because "i" is next to "o" on the keyboard, I suggest that "*son* saltos entre tramos de carril" is a typo for "*sin* saltos...".
