The AC 8800, S800 system from ABB arrange the remote I/O withing the control cabinet and from there sends the information gathered by the I/O to present in a screen especially adapted to the operator personnel and supervisory personnel. In this way, the personnel have exact real time of what the process is doing. En real terms the S800 is the block of units of I/O (in Spanish E/S) connected to the field and to the control AC 800M system by Profinet I/O or Profibus I/O conecction system. The control AC 800M is a remote reporter to control room disply Really, it is a new arrangement of distributed control system (DCS).
Hope this clears things up and is of use.
The cabinets contain the process control hardware, AC 800M, and the S800 subsystem I/O.

So, in that case módulos de E/S would not be exact either? How would you transalte it then? Thanks for your help :)

It is a control cabinet but the"remota" parts refers to electronic units that takes charge of sending all control signal and results to the main site where these signals are displayed to operators and supervising personnel. They are not I/O modules. It is called "remota" because it is reporting a remote station.
