Waterwash isolation valve Explanation: Hi Neil, A "valvula de corte" is an isolation valve or shutoff valve. If there is a P&ID/diagram with the text that shows the type of valve then you can use the corresponding term (e.g. gate, butterfly etc.). But as a general term isolation or shutoff valve is fine. Waterwash or water wash is the term that they use with regards to turbine-compressors for the "lavado con agua" process - see the contents page of this book for example "Gas Turbine Engineering Handbook" by Meherwan P. Boyce (preview in google). Regarding "lavado con agua auxiliar" in many situations I have seen that they don't specify the source of the water in the valve's name, but it is described later in the text.
