Spanish term or phrase: Bosque alto medio siempreverde
I thought of translating it as "high semi-evergreen forest" but I had my doubts, so maybe an expert in the field could help me out. The text refers to tropical rainforests in Venezuela.

agree  Neil Ashby: I think it's important to include the 'altitude' - as we can see some ppl are not correctly interpreting the original, therefore it is required in the traduction. Plus, IMO, this is the most naturally sounding.

LOS BOSQUES DEL DELTA DEL ORINOCO

Here there are multiple Spanish references, and a view of:
“Figura 4. Sección transversal a través de los planos de marea y turba adyacentes a un caño de marea del Delta Inferior del Orinoco donde se mues-tra la secuencia de las comunidades de plantas asociadas a ambos tipos de paisajes.”

States clearly that it has nothing to do with altitude but with hight of canopy.

These links work perfectly well with my browser, there is no clear reason they should'nt work with yours.

Peer comments on this answer (and responses from the answerer)
disagree  Neil Ashby: the height does not refer to the height of the canopy but the altitude above sea level. I tried to open your refs. but after 20 mins the PDFs didn't open... The short Spanish quote above does not appear to be connected with the question...
