I meant in your question, as far as I can gather from the Internet, they refer to the vaso de Sayula in singular. No doubt there are many basins in the area, but if this one has a specific name, why does it refer to more than one basin? Just a thought. I don't know Mexico at all.

Asker: Hi Niikki, thank you for your response. I think the plural was intentional. Here are two additional uses of "vaso" in the document: - "En los casos donde el proyecto interactúe con cuerpos de agua or vasos intermitentes, para el caso de Laguna San Marcos se empleará obras civiles como la de lastrados..." - And also "También cruza por áreas de protección a cauces y cuerpos de agua son requiridas para la regulación y el control de los causces en los escurrimientos y vasos hidráulicos tanto para su operación natural, como para los fines de explotación agropecurauria...."
