Esto traduciendo un análisis de contaminación de agua en un embalse. El término tirante hidráulico únicamente aparece una vez, por lo que el único contexto que tengo es el siguiente:

El tirante hidráulico ejerce presión para mantener los sedimentos en la profundidad de acuerdo a las características evaluadas.

Encontré tirante hidráulico como "water depth o height" pero debido al contexto no sé qué tan acertado sea.
