Explanation:
Los bancos retienen saldos sobre todo en movimientos de cuentas corrientes por ejemplo cuando un cheque ha sido depositado y no se ha hecho efectivo aún porque se está presentando al cobro al banco girador. Hoy estos movimientos suelen ser rápidos dentro de un país más no en depósitos del exterior.
Esto provoca que haya una discrepancia -transitoria- entre el saldo disponible y el saldo contable, hasta que el cheque se efectivice.
