I know the direct translation is "menus" but to me "meals" sounds more natural.

We would not say "school menus" we would say "school meals".

The piece is not talking about separate vegan menus but rather options on existing ones.

I do not find "meal" as an entry anywhere, however. What do we think?

Thank you.

Vegan meal options
Explanation:
Much like Gareth's suggestion. Of course not a direct translation but you are correct that "meals" "options" or "meal options" (or choices) do sound better!

Asker: Many thanks. It's treading that fine line between finding an authentic match and veering too far away from the original that I find tricky. My feeling is maybe this is too far from the original?

Explanation:
More complete option as far as the translation is concerned.

I wish I had such an option where I do my food shopping in a free world.

Vegan menus for schools, hospitals and prisons

Explanation:
That's how I would probably translate it. Or just as "vegan menus", "healthy menus for schools, hospitals and prisons".

I don't know if this helps, sorry.
