Spanish term or phrase: tachen la doble
This is from a scene in a movie by an Argentine filmmaker where two people aer playing La Generala, which I have translated as Yahtzee. I am nit sure how this moment of the game would be translated:

Román y Morán juegan a la generala en el sector de visitas de la cárcel. La escena llega hasta que Morán pide que le tachen la doble.

English translation:cross out the yatzee bonus
Explanation:
When playing Yatzee with friends this is the common way we say it. We cross out the yatzee bonus or possibly another area if we feel lucky in hopes of rolling the yatzee bonus.

According to the rules that I am reading in front of me from my Parkers Brothers 2004 edition it says to zero out the yatzee bonus or whichever category you don't want to pursue.

hit a double

Explanation:
General, also known as Cheerio, Yot, Yam and commersial Yahtzee - is a version of popular game from Puerto Rico called Generala. All those games have a slightly different rules, basically only in the way of scoring points. In original versions of these games, any number of players can play. Here you can play a solo game, so you can practice to achive a personal best score.

General Rules

The game is played with 5 dice. On every turn you can roll dice up to three times, where first roll is a must and should be with all dice. Depending of the combination you want to make, you can choose to roll one or two more times any number of dice you choose. On every throw you can select which dice to hold to make a combination and which to throw again. After each turn you select a combination on the table and a score you made for that combination. The game is over when all the combinations are done, i.e. all the points for combinations are written on the table. The total score is a sum of the points of all combinations.

Results Table

The results table consists of 2 parts - obligatory part and combinatory part. Obligatory part consists of digits from 1 to 6. You have to roll at least 3 of a kind dice, like 3 ones, 3 twos,... 3 sixes, wich counts 0 points, if you rolled exactly 3 of a kind, or 1, 2,... 6 points, if you rolled 4 of a kind, or 2, 4,... 12 points, if you rolled 5 of a kind. If you were unable to make any of these combinations, you will be scored minus 25 points - hense the name obligatory.

At the combinatory part, you will be scored with the sum of dice that take part of the combination. The combinations are:

Pair - sum of dice in the pair, e.g. 6+6 = 12 pts.
Two Pairs - e.g. 6+6+2+2 = 16 pts. (Note: you can treat Four of a kind as Two Pairs)
Three of a kind
Four of a kind
Full House
Small straight = 15 pts
Large straight = 20 pts
Chance (sum all dice)
General - Five of a Kind. Your score will be 50 + sum of all dice
Additional rules

Each combination can be used only once. If the resulting combination of dice will not fit in any unused scoring category, the player must place a "zero" in one of the unused combinations.

scratch double

Explanation:
In English, it is said that a player may <scratch> a category.
In the case of Generala, the category would be Double Generala, which I abbreviated as Double.

I am aware that this expression, in Spanish, has a double meaning (to give up on attaining the best) that is lost in translation, but since the actors are actually playing the game, I think it is the most appropriate.

This is from Wikipedia:
. Generala. 50 or 60 points. All five dice with the same number.
. Double Generala (optional). 100 or 120 points. All five dice with the same number for the second time in a game.

A player who fails to make any valid score, or chooses not to take any other score, may scratch (eliminate) a category, such as Generala or Twos. If a player scratches a category, that player cannot score on that category for the rest of the game. Specifically, if a player scratches Generala and subsequently rolls Generala on the first roll of a turn, it may not be used as an automatic win.

From Boardgamecentral:
A bonus may be earned by rolling a second "generala" in the same game. This is known as a "Double Generala", and is worth 120 points.
A player may choose to take a "0" for a category score. This is known as a "scratch". However, if the "Generala" category has been scratched, and the player then rolls a five-of-a-kind on the first roll, it is not an automatic win.

Example sentence(s):
  • if a player scratches Generala and subsequently rolls Generala on the first roll of a turn, it may not be used as an automatic win.
  • A player may choose to take a "0" for a category score. This is known as a "scratch".
