Áreas de soporte

English translation: back office

Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Insurance
Spanish term or phrase: Áreas de soporte
This is then contrasted with the "àreas de negocio de la central de la aseguradora". I think they mean the first (àreas de soporte) are all departments which come into direct contact with clients.

I feel "support areas" sounds completely wrong, but I also don't want to move too far away from the original or interpret this too liberally since I'm not 100% sure what they mean.

Any ideas?
Thanks, W

I'm selection this answer because I think this is good suggestion, thanks. I checked with the client in the end and they wanted "support departments", and after some research I found that "support departments" or "administrative and support departments" is very common in English.

Explanation:
Suerte!
