Spanish term or phrase: póliza a pronóstico de embarques
"Póliza anual a pronóstico de embarques".

As far as I can tell, this means that the insurance premium will be paid based on an estimate of the volume of freight that will be shipped.

This is confirmed by the next bit, which says:
"Al terminar la vigencia de la póliza el Asegurado deberá declarar el valor de los embarques reales que efectuó durante el periodo de vigencia de la póliza con la finalidad de realizar el ajuste final por embarques, aplicando la cuota correspondiente sobre la diferencia entre embarques reales y el pronóstico de los mismos..."

Despite finding a lot of references to "póliza a pronóstico" in relation to cargo insurance in Spanish, I haven't been able to find anything in English, yet it must exist.

Does anybody know what the equivalent might be in (U.S.) English?

Reference: open cover policy?

Reference information:
DEFINITION of 'Open Cover'
A type of marine insurance policy in which the insurer agrees to provide coverage for all cargo shipped during the policy period. Open cover insurance is most commonly purchased by companies that make frequent shipments, as the blanket coverage keeps them from having to purchase a new policy each time a shipment is made.

BREAKING DOWN 'Open Cover'
Open cover policies are commonly used in international trade, specifically by companies that are involved in high volume trade over a long period of time. Companies purchase this type of coverage because it precludes them from having to negotiate the terms of a new policy each time a shipment is made. Since the insured is agreeing to purchase a longer-term contract, it may be able to realize lower premiums. This is because the insurer does not have to spend time on repetitive negotiations, and because the insurer benefits from a having a guaranteed premium over a longer period of time.
