Spanish term or phrase: panorama completo requerido
From an SAP instruction manual.

This is not my field, so not 100% sure a literal translation works here?

required system architecture
Explanation:
Or "system architecture required".

Hi Rich,

This is my field, and based on direct experience in the field and lots of experience translating poorly written Spanish IT texts, I really feel this is what they’re getting at here. I think the term “architecture” covers “panorama completo” nicely in the English (it kind of encompasses the whole, if you like); and “system” is just bog standard in English IT speak.

By the way, why is the text immediately after “panorama completo requerido” exactly the same in both cases? I don’t get the repetition...?

“Revisión, definición y configuración de la infraestructura técnica y diseño del panorama completo requerido, mostrando cada uno de los sistemas SAP y no SAP están instalados, y los servidores físicos o virtuales, asignados a cada sistema, junto con sus especificaciones (CPU, memoria física, versión del sistema operativo).”

“Review, define and configure the technical infrastructure and design the required system architecture, showing all SAP and non-SAP systems installed, as well as the physical and virtual servers assigned to each system, and their respective specifications (CPU, physical memory, OS version).”

Hope this helps ;-)

Notes to answerer
Asker: Yes; big help. Thanks, James :) I guess Spanish IT texts are poor as they're based on English texts in the first place, so they almost end up being back translations.
