Power of Attorney (Spain)

My question is how to differentiate between "autogobierno" (which also seems to be referred to as "gobierno de su persona" and "cuidado de su persona".

"Cuidado de su persona" would seem to imply "taking care of oneself" or "looking after oneself". Does "autogobierno" or "gobierno de su persona" refer to managing ones affairs or is it wider than this because "actos de disposición" and "gestión patrimonial" are mentioned later in the sentence?

Many thanks in advance for your clarification.

"Mientras dure este estado civil de incapacitación no podrá realizar, por sí misma actos jurídicos referidos al autogobierno y cuidado de su persona, así como tampoco actos de disposición y gestión patrimonial."

Thanks Adrian. I think these terms are tricky because there seems to be some overlap.

  -> Thanks and gracias. I'd have thought, for the first part, management of day-to-day affairs would have rolled and tripped off the tongue, but apparently not.

agency and self-care / autonomy and self-care

Explanation:
Agency and autonomy seem to be the most accurate terms to speak about "self-government" in matters relating to disability, going by the terminology used in medical papers and opinion pieces regarding disability legislation.

Example sentence(s):
  • "...an instrument to measure exercise of self‐care agency."
  • "...to assess their influence on autonomy and self-care."
