Standing Judicial Guardian ad Litem; Proctor General in Family Matters Explanation: Guardian ad Litem (Curator is the Scots law term)is good, though is appointed on a case-by-case basis and is not attached e.g. to the Brit. Courts, whereas the Proctor is a govt. officer. In Eng. & Wales, the Queen's Proctor can intervene to stop a divorce decree nisi being made absolute if for the good of the children etc. 'In England, the official representing the crown in matrimonial, probate, and admiralty cases. The *Queen's Proctor's* chief function is to intervene in divorce proceedings if it is discovered that material facts have been concealed from the court or that there has been collusion. When the monarch is a king the term is King's Proctor.' |
