Spanish term or phrase: Trámites Laborales
Hello all!

I am translating a Criminal Record letter which most of the times is straight forward, but this time I am having problems finding the best way of translating this phrase. It says it was issued for the purposes of "Trámites Laborales"

A solicitud de la parte interesada y para fines de: TRAMITES LABORALES.

... for purposes of: WORK APPLICATIONS??

The word process or procedure for "trámite" is what I normally use but it does not make sense this time! It may be a simple answer that I am not seeing..

Thank you!

I think this one sounded better. As simple as I thought it would be, sometimes we just need some help when we get stuck!
Many many thanks

Pre-employment checks

Explanation:
This piece describes why (in El Salvador) criminal records for those who have completed their sentence will not be recorded on their police check if it is requested by a potential employer.

https://diario.elmundo.sv/antecedentes-penales-no-apareceran...

This Cuban site shows the Criminal Record Certification Request Form and the reasons for the requests which include firearms license checks, pre-employment checks, and checks prior to undertaking educational courses.

The equivalent in English would be Pre-employment checks of a criminal record. See the NHS guidance which outlines this at

https://www.jobs.nhs.uk/advice/pre_checks.html

Here it outlines -
"Criminal record and barring checks
Depending on the role, employers may be required to check whether you have a criminal record. These roles will be subject to a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (known as a DBS check).

The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 helps rehabilitated ex-offenders back into work by allowing them not to declare criminal convictions and cautions to employers after a defined rehabilitation period has elapsed, and the convictions become "spent". During the rehabilitation period, convictions and cautions are referred to as being "unspent". Unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warnings must always be declared as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (as amended by the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment Act 2012)."

Also, Business Gateway at

https://www.bgateway.com/resources/pre-employment-checks-for...

which lists the checks that are carried out prior to employment including the criminal records check.

Example sentence(s):
  • Essential pre-employment checks for employers to conduct when taking on a new employee
  • Pre-employment checks - When you become successful at interview and are offered a job, your employer will be required to carry out a series of employment checks
