Spanish term or phrase: Predicciones del share de XXXX
We are in a context of the automobile industry. In the source text in Spanish there are constant references to "share" unstralated for "market share". In the source text it is clear that "share" always refers to Market Share. But I don't know if translating the "Spanish term" "share" into English as just "share" would also be understood as "market share" or whether it could be confusing so I should translate all the instances of "share" as "market share". Just one example from the actual context:

"Predicciones del share de XXXX (name of an automovile company such as Renault, Citroen, Renault, etc)"

Could we just translate:

"XXXX's share predictions" instead of "XXXX's market share predictions".

I am thinking of the many meanings of "share" ...in this case ...sharing predictions, information...

Explanation:
I think this will be readily understood as market share, especially if accompanied by % figures. You might want to put 'market share' when it first appears and then just use share.

Still a pretty grim outlook for the French new car market, after losing 14% at the same time last year, it is down a further 11% halfway through 2013 to fall below 1 million units for the first time since 1993 at just 930,320 sales. While it looks like the top of the models ranking is completely reshuffled, in actual fact it’s the traditional Renault and Peugeot superminis that control the sales charts. The Renault Clio IV launched in September last year so is all-new for this ranking and shoots up directly to pole position thanks to 55,887 sales and 6% share. It ranked #1 4 out of 6 months this year and looks set to become France’s best-seller for the first time at year-end in 2013, the 15th time for the Clio nameplate. The Peugeot 208 is up 163% to #2 at 51,640 units and 5.6% which is pretty close given the fact that it only topped the ranking twice so far in 2013: in January and May,. If we add up the last 2 generations of Clio we arrive at 67,438 sales (+15%) vs. 67,046 (+19%) for the 207/208 couple. Once again very tight whichever way you look at it.

Asre Khodro: French Renault auto manufacturer is gaining the share of its rival, Peugeot, in the Iranian market following Peugeot non-economic and politically-tainted approach towards its Iranian partner.

on the other hand, there is nothing wrong with putting "market share" either, unless perhaps the term becomes so repetitive that it becomes more readable to put simply 'share'.

If you're sure that they are referring to 'market share'. If not, they could be referring to 'share price predictions'.
