As in my previous questions we are dealing with a study which demonstrates mathematically that people donate more to charity to account for their conscience after making a morally bad choice. The term appears in the following context:

"Otro de los avances del estudio es que, después de la culpa, cambia la propensión a violar de nuevo el principio ético. Es decir, la probabilidad de cometer una falta por n-ésima vez debe parecerse a la potencia n de la culpa inicial (al ser la probabilidad un valor entre 0 y 1):"

For the moment I see it this way:

"Other of the conclusions of the study suggests that after experiencing guilt, our propensity to violate an ethical norm is not the same.. That is, the probability of making a fault for the nth time should look like the n power of the initial guilt (where the probability is a value between 0 and 1):"

Explanation:
I would not speak of a crime here, since we are talking about morally bad choices rather than illegal conduct. We don't have the actual data, but I also think "la culpa inicial" means "the probability of the initial wrongdoing," because if that were not a probability the maths would not make sense.

So: "The probability of acting wrongfully for the nth time should look like the probability of the initial wrongdoing raised to the power of n (where probability is a value between 0 and 1)."
