Medical - Medical (general) / Brain injury discharge report
Spanish term or phrase: En espontánea
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could help me with the phrase "En espontánea" in a patient discharge report for a Traumatic Brain Injury patient.
The context is describing his current state, "En espontánea, hemodínámicamente estable, Glasgow 15."
I know with brain trauma patients they are assessed using the Glasgow Coma Scale for being able to do actions spontaneously (e.g. eye opening), but it's the exact phrasing I'm looking for. Maybe I have to add a word or two in the ENG?
Thanks so much in advance if anyone can help!

Conclusion: Hypoventilation can be detected reliably by pulse oximetry only when patients breathe room air. In patients with spontaneous ventilation, supplemental oxygen often masked the ability to detect abnormalities in respiratory function in the PACU.
