Spanish term or phrase: enlace ester carboxflico
The following phrase appears in a pharmaceutical text I am translating from Spanish to English:

"La estructura química de éstos se compone de un anillo principal de benceno que está unido al resto de la molécula por un enlace éster carboxflico."

I undrstand the sentence, however, my main concern is finding an English equivalent for carboxflico.
