agree  philgoddard: I think this is OK, and your references are good, though "recipe" seems a more obvious choice in this context.

recipes

Explanation:
This term is standard in pharmaceutical production processes, on which I translate quite a lot of material. At first sight you would think it refers to the "recipe" of ingredients in the pharmaceutical product, but it's actually a sequence of steps in a process, by analogy, I think, with a cooking recipe which consists of a series of instructions that are executed in order.

"Batch Plus is recipe-driven. In other words, the user develops a model by creating a text recipe (similar to a batch sheet), and the modeling engine creates a Process Flow Diagram (PFD) as an output. [...]
In essence, a unit procedure is the recipe of a processing step that describes the sequence of actions required to complete that step."

So the "recetas" here are lists of steps associated with the drying equipment that are executed in the drying process. In English pharmaceutical production: recipes.

"RECIPE FOR FREEZE DRYING
Lyophilization in a shelf freeze dryer requires the design of a working process or cycle which is sometimes referred to as a “recipe”. Typically, there are multiple steps involved for both freezing and drying of the product. Individual temperature, pressure and time settings need to be determined for each step."

The clients I translate for use "recipe", and when researching it in the past I've found it to be very widespread in the industry.

All the following are specifically about Glatt fluid bed drying equipment:

"This new VirTis® AdVantage™ Benchtop Freezer brochure from SP Industries focuses on the advanced features of the unit. A brief overview highlights the unit's extremely small footprint, powerful Wizard™ 2.0 controller for either manual operation or fully automated recipes, and limited 2-year refrigeration warranty."

"Fluid Bed Dryer/Granulator: In 1996, O'Hara started working on Fluid Bed Technology at the request of existing customers. They wanted a robust fluid bed processor that would operate well beyond the generally accepted parameters established by competitors. Our design incorporates drying by the particle suspension, then free-fall of material through the air, rather than by clogging filter media to get the drying job done.
We provide the following fluid bed technology:
[...]
- Touch Screen Control System is standard
- Level II Control includes recipes"
http://www.pharmaceuticalonline.com/doc/production-fluid-bed...

"Source: Glatt Air Techniques
GC Smart® Tablet Coating System
The GCSmart ® coater ranges in size from 125 liter to 700 liter. The new EcoViewTM Controls, Glatt's enhanced Process Control System, provides a user friendly touch screen OIT, both manual and fully automated process control, recipes management and related batch reporting"
http://www.pharmaceuticalonline.com/doc/gc-smart-tablet-coat...

"Glatt's recognized expertise in developing and optimizing recipes is based on decades of experience in the field of solid dosage forms"
http://www.europack.gr/brochures/Glatt Technology Center e.p...

etc., etc.

Recetas are quite definitely not instruction manuals. Wouldn't it be a bit odd for a piece of equipment to have several instruction manuals, by the way?

-> Thanks, Phil. (By the way, recetas/recipes are internal company production procedures. The term "instruction manual" is normally applied to the manufacturer's documentation on operating the machine.)

agree  Neil Ashby: Sounds like an SOP to me, but if you say so ;@) // SOPs are also used in pharma manufacturing, QA, validation, sterilisation, GMP, GLP, ..... and they are internal docs. Suppose it depends on the company. (PS I'm just playing devil's advocate, as always).

-> Thanks very much, Neil :) / Quite right too! I should have expressed myself more accurately :)
