declared passions / pursuits / interests / hobbies Explanation: Filia: afición o amor a algo (RAE). One of these could do, but which one will perhaps depend on what hides behind XX. Regards -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 47 mins (2007-07-12 17:35:58 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- As these are authors, "passions" or "interest" would seem to suit better, but which would depend on the level of intensity required. Bear in mind that the Spanish "filia" can carry a wide range - "afición o amor", so unless the context elsewhere tells you which way to go, perhaps the toss of a coin would have to decide. |
