And I know fairy is normally hada! But duende is a bit of a floaty word! Obviously you have to be careful with the other implications of fairy.

DRAE: Espíritu fantástico del que se dice que habita en algunas casas y que travesea, causando en ellas trastorno y estruendo. Aparece con figura de viejo o de niño en las narraciones tradicionales.
Personally I like sprite best.

agree  Amero Communications: duende comes from the Spanish duen de casa, or dueño de casa. I would go with sprite too.
