This is the context.....La intención de fondo es sofisticar el aspecto de la revista y para ese fin se crea Hidalgo, una tipografía de texto de inspiración barroca para la que se crean un set de ligaduras poco ortodoxas.

All I get is ligatures on Google and I am not sure that it is a good translation of the term. Thanks
