Spanish term or phrase: sinfin
I think this is a sort of backdrop that photographers use to give a sense of spacelessness. THe context is a text about a show by a contemporary ARgentine photographer:

En las tres, la misma mujer pone de manifiesto distintos instantes de vacilación por motivos que desconocemos, en un sinfín que dilata la tensión dramática hasta límites insostenibles. Las palabras de Silvia Rivas son por demás claras a la hora de referirse a cada una de estas obras:

English translation:endless stream
Explanation:
I interpret this to mean "endless stream". I would translate the phrase as something like: "...in an endless stream that prolongs the dramatic tension to unsustainable (maybe "unbearable") limits". I'm not sure how three images make an "endless stream", but maybe by implication...? by (mental) expansion?

neutral  JohnMcDove: (After grading) There is no "stream" at all in the Spanish expression here. There is only an "infinite", a "boundless region of space". There is no "horizon". It is simply a "limitless space"... :-)
