Spanish term or phrase: los plumas finas
In an article about material made from recycled material from Spain for translation to English UK.

“Cuando empezamos a hacer tejidos con redes de pesca, nos dijeron que no seríamos capaces de hacerlos con menos de 80 puntadas por milímetro. Hoy en día estamos en 20, que son los tejidos para confeccionar ***los plumas finos***. Pero es que en el mundo de la moda no reciclada tampoco se hacen tejidos inferiores a esas cifras.

I cannot find 'pluma' as a masculine noun in any dictionary but the 'los' anad 'finos' imply that it is masculine. I wonder if it should be 'las plumas finas'
I don't think he is making 'fine feathers' or 'fine pens' and I wonder if he is just referring to expensive garments. Any thoughts welcome.

"Pluma", masculine, must mean what is called a "plumífero": a quilted or "puffer" jacket:

"Cómo lavar los 'plumas'
Consejos para lavar nuestros plumíferos y que se queden como nuevos
Estamos a punto de entrar en la primavera y, con ella, en el buen tiempo. Ya es hora de dejar atrás los edredones, los jerseis de lana y también los abrigos. Entre ellos, quizá los que primero guardemos en el armario para la próxima temporada sean los abrigos acolchados. Los conocidos como plumíferos o "plumas"."

There is a Spanish company that specialises in this kind of recycling; in fact your text is quite probably related to it, so I'll suppress the name and disguise the URLs.

In other words, they use recycled fishing nets to make the fabric for puffer jackets: "plumas" (masc.)

"Finos" must mean "thin".

"The thin-quilted jackets are musts in the spring and summer. Made of nylon, the jackets are extremely robust, as well as light,"

"Shop the latest thin puffer jackets on the world's largest fashion site."

I think it almost certainly refers to jackets. In theory it might include waistcoats or even longer coats, I suppose, so you might prefer to put "garments". But in any case it must be "los plumas finos" not "los plumas finas", and I don't believe it ought to be "las plumas finas" here.
