Spanish term or phrase: fondo de baliza/baliza con fondo L8
This is about the beacons that send signals to trains (Automatic Train Protection Systems) and their components, relays, etc.

I'm struggling badly with this one. Here's context:

The terms I can't find anywhere:

"fondo de baliza"
"frecuencia de fondo"... de cada baliza

I know that "baliza" is beacon, but I can't find any source either in Spanish or English that shows me a "bottom beacon" or something. What is "fondo" in this situation?

A little more context, if it helps:

Thank you so, so much.

neutral  polyglot45: for Europe, the term "balise" is used rather than "beacon" or "transponder" but this may not be for Europe
