Spanish term or phrase: Corrida
Aparece en un billete de tren mexicano. Salen datos como tipo de transporte, horario, lugar de origen y destino, etc., y luego dice:
"Corrida: 6544"

Os agradecería si alguien me pudiera decir a qué se refiere. ¿Es el número de viaje, o algo así? ¡Gracias!

neutral  Toni Castano: I wouldn´t call it "train". "Service" might do, though. It just means "trip", same as "trayecto" or "recorrido" in peninsular Spanish. // Phil, trains in ALL countries do have numbers, but they are not the same as "trips".

  -> Trains in many countries have numbers, so I believe "train" is correct. And "service" is a synonym of train - as in "there are three trains/services a week". But "trip" is wrong in this context.

"Train" or "service" are good options, but I'd also suggest "number," used on both train and bus tickets as I've seen in the U.S., contextually differentiable from "ticket number." I'm attaching an example from London, as well.
