agree  Will Matter: Have also heard "onza" used for "ocelot" in Central America but for the rest you're "spot on" (no pun intended). Cheers.

  -> Thanks will :-) Snow leopards are also known as "ounces". I thought "ocelot" was "ocelote"?

neutral  Muriel Vasconcellos: Not a snow leoopard. See my entry about ocelot.

[onza] = ocelot

Explanation:
First, it's better to post each term separately so that they can be discussed separately.

I've seen "snow leopard" as a dictionary definition for "onza," but my experience is that it is actually an ocelot. "Snow leopard" is Pantera uncia, and it inhabits the high Asian mountains, where Spanish is not an official language.

Here are some reference to "onza" as ocelot (Felis pardalis or Leopardus pardalis):

agree  jrb: yes, you are right here. I must admit that I initally thought it was jaguar (pantera onca) due to the Portuguese "onça", but looked it up, and ocelot is correct.
