Law 26413 enacted on 10 September 2008 and promulgated on 1 October 2008. Provides that all acts and facts that give rise to, alter or modify the civil status or the capacity of persons are to be recorded in the corresponding registries of the Provinces, the Nation and the City of Buenos Aires. Provides a registration system for births, marriages, deaths, adoptions, acknowledgements, emancipations of minors. Creates the Federal Council of Civil Registries of the Argentine Republic. Specifies members and functions. Provides for penalties and liabilities in case of non-fulfillment. Repeals Decree 8204/27-09-1963 (Civil Registry). (96 articles; p. 1-5).
