Deducir is not deduce or infer, as mis-read in other Romance lingos like FR = déduire and IT = dedurre. The Latin-root word means to enter an action etc. The logic is that claims cannot be extrapolated or guessed at, but need to be spelt out.

Nor is tercería an arbitration = arbitraje as Robb's SP/EN legal dictionary has misled a generation of translators and got some of us into trouble.
