Swedish term or phrase: Krypkörning
This term appears in some educational materials designed to help driving students learn practical driving skills outside of formal lessons.

Basically, it refers to manoeuvring the car using only the clutch. From the text:

Krypkörning
När du behöver köra långsamt, vid exempelvis backning eller parkering, gör du det genom så kallad krypkörning. Vid krypkörning med manuell bil jobbar du mest med kopplingspedalen (eventuellt kan lite gas behövas).

Potentially I could work around the absence of a direct equivalent in English by using terms like 'clutch control' and 'inching the car forward', but the problem is that this term is also used as the title of a chapter, and I really could do with a short, snappy equivalent.

The term is also used as verb; i.e. När du krypkör i medlut rullar bilen vanligtvis av sig själv.

Any suggestions are very welcome!

inching is also used, but that is extremely slow in comparison.

neutral  SafeTex: As it's education material and Sweden uses the metric system, even in English I don't think this is a good bet in the circumstances IMHO.

agree  Adrian MM.: inching along: I doubt an Imp. vs. metric system really matters https://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/inching along BTW, my Irish office manager from Dublin & I used to go 'kerb-crawling' in Central & West London, but it wasn't for 'Ladies of the Night'...
