Explanation:
I have difficulty picturing what this looks like so I'm guessing a bit. Is this refering to the footholds the drivers use to climb up inte the cabin? My suggestion is "aperture", but like I said I'm guessing a bit! Hope it helps!

There are of course several translations of 'lucka', eg, hatch, door, shutter; and on to aperture, opening, etc, but cover seems appropriate here.
