I think it's just that it wasn't well expressed by the client so I re-wrote the sentence to spell out the meaning stiuplated by the client when my query was answered, so none of these fit the context. Thanks for your suggestions.

Just my contribution to the conversation, I understand where the idea of 'related' comes from. I saw sites with 'kompisprodukter' like clothes and yes, there is a relation. For example, if they sell t shirts, they might have a heat transfer service to decorate the t shirts
But with 'food', it doesn't work for me cos if you have potatoes in the fridge, do you also want it to be full of turnips, parsnips and swedes? (related root vegetables)
That is why I think it is a question of 'complimentary' food here (foods that go well together)

Where (e.g.) there is a sauce of a particular flavour on the cold sauces shelf there will be the same sauce packed with a portion of fish as a ready meal on the ready meals shelf (making them "kompisar"). I've never seen such usage before - already sent the translation yesterday due to deadline so this is just in case I can make a suitable glossary entry.

More like ”similar products” then. It is Färdig-mat ”Ready meal". Basically, I think I'll just have to re-write the word kompisprodukter - any suggestions for something snappy for an advert?

I've asked my client to check what this refers to because I was wondering if it could be shop-brand products rather than the brand mentioned (not writing it here).

Sorry, to clarify: one might be ready-prepared sauce on the cold sauces shelf and one might be a ready meal, i.e. fish and sauce, on the ready meals shelf.
