Swedish term or phrase: (be)slammad
Hello

The subject is now "high pressure sodium lights" and they are

"slammad elliptisk"

or

"Ellipsoidform, beslammad"

as there seems to be some variation in the Swedish too.

My guess is that the Swedish is based on the English verb "to slam" and
that the shape is "slammed flat".

Or is it something completely different?

Thanks in advance

Changed my mind. I think you may be right although I'd have liked to have found a single dictionary entry for this word
