congener Explanation: I may be barking up the wrong tree, but could the word be spelt incorrectly? You do get "kongener". If not, perhaps you could give us a little more context. "...är en blandning av ett stort antal närbesläktade kemiska föreningar, så kallade kongener." (see second site below). If the spelling is wrong, then I think the word you want is "congener".
