Swedish term or phrase: tåla ögats slitage
The context is about design of rooms etc. that need to
"tåla ögats slitage". I was thinking along the lines of "easy on the eye" in the sense of something you could look at time and time again without tiring of it, i.e. a design that will still look good in the longer term, but would be grateful if someone could confirm I'm on the right track (or that I'm totally wrong or missing a much better alternative). Thanks.

disagree  E2efour (X): Pity the authors of the thesis didn't consult a native speaker. One can, of course, invent new metaphors, but this one sounds too unidiomatic to me.
