(Muminfamiljen ska spela teater. Inträdesavgiften är "Vad som helst som duger att äta". Snusmumriken betalar i bönor.)


Snusmumriken såg sig försiktigt omkring, men ingen skrattade åt dem. Alla hade ögonen på den upplysta ridån. Bara en äldre hemul rodde fram till dem och sa:

Entren, varsågod.

Snusmumriken lyfte upp bönkaggen.

Är det för allihop? frågade Hemulen och började räkna barnen.

Räcker det inte? sa Snusmumriken oroligt.

Herrn får lite tillbaka, sa Hemulen och hällde öskaret fullt med bönor. Rätt ska vara rätt.


Jag förstår inte riktigt vad som menas med det här - fyllde han öskaret med bönor (filled) eller tömde han det fulla öskaret (emptied)? Själv lutar jag åt det första alternativet.
