Again, a letter from the 1870s:

"Frigge är mycket omtyckt på fabriken; han fick 3 dollar i Julpengar, de andra fick blott 2 dollar, men de tycka ej om att Frigge kommit in så."

I've been playing with the idea that this is something like 'muscled in'. I.e., Frigge's workmates don't like how he has muscled in and been paid more than them.
