A letter from the early 1900s. I apologise for the context, but this is exactly as it appears in the source text:

"Jag har negrer som arbetar för mig i år, man kan drifva dem lika som juren, för dom tål alt utom kylan de äro så frusna af sig, ej heller har dom några kläder."

I was thinking something along the lines of "they're so cold in their character", although if you think there's something better, I'd really appreciate your contribution.
