including (the year) Explanation: The Swe is more precise this way, I've had to get used to it but it makes sense. You are counting years, not age, and the cut off is the year (Jan1 to Dec31) you turn 29, not when you become 30. Lots of things are counted this way, so an age class includes everyone born in the year. Those born Dec 31 are considered the same age as those born Jan 1. but the benefit may be paid out in June, say. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 19 mins (2014-03-29 08:54:12 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Clicked submit and not review ... but I meant to say above -- "those born Dec 31 are considered the same age as those born Jan 1 the same year, (nearly) 12 months earlier."
