10-timer Explanation: This is just a suggestion. The problem with the Swedish expression is that it originally probably had a really strong connection with the "10-taggare", a big elk, shot for its trophy horn crown. And then by extension the kind of successful businessman who also went on shoots, possibly with the king! And then the expression has got worn down by use, to be just a successful high earner, after which it got - wittily? - linked to the "10 times basic amount" rule for pension contributions. So now the term is used in the most sober, pedestrian pension plan explanations, issued by banks and authorities. |
